In the Cevennes region, Jonas, a boy scout camp counselor, is found dead with a syringe in his hand inside a Protestant church. But there’s every reason to believe that his apparent overdose was actually a murder in disguise. To solve the case, Captain Elli Taleb teams up, rather surprisingly, with the region’s newest expert in criminology : Friar Clément. Having just obtained a degree in criminal psychology, Clément nevertheless maintains his Holy Orders. He has extended his novitiate and sees his experiences outside the monastery to be a test of his spiritual commitment. The search for the killer will put Elli and Clément’s nerves and emotions to the test as they continue to learn that their strength lies in their differences.
