33-year-old Clémént has spent his entire life at the monastery, his only knowledge of the modern world coming from books and the correspondence course in Theology he took from the university. An orphan, he was adopted by the monastery’s steward and taken underwing by Brother Benoît. When the latter is found murdered, Clémént helps Elli Talleb, a totally atheist police captain, track down the killer. Guided by this unique inspector who is raising her three sisters on her own, Clément will discover the world outside the monastery - as well as the secrets of his past.
